ok i can make a basic website but your coding for the leftmenu and such is very confusing, >.< please explain how it works as i am not used to using #leftmenu when writing up style specifications.

I made this years ago. its kinda hard for me to figure it out myself. I don't know why... but for some reason in this tutorial i coded the style of the website before i even made the layout for the website.
well the # symbol is used with the id="" tag to specify what style goes to what table row.

ah yeah see im designing a website atm and really i hate using sitebuilders because they are irritating and limiting @_@ XD so i've literally just taken a crash course in HTML and CSS from browsing online >.<
mm thats what i thought it looks to me like this is more a CSS ah yes the id, this is the sort of document i'd want to create before making an html document and then linking them together via external CSS right? (ignoring the html coding in this o course

if you were going to make an external style sheet you would need to use ID tags.

how did you manage to get it all clear in your head? i feel so lost atm ^^' i've viewed a view site sources and im still baffled >.<
ah yes ID tags, the nasty little ID tags that i hate putting in >.<
XD the most i've done so far is create a little web template using the basic structure and putting in elements like tables from existing template code as i cba to put them in myself >.< i would like to but i feel like im dying, slowly and painfully i mean I CAN BARELY USE THE INTERNET AS IT IS T_T

I just used it enough that it became more and more clear as i worked with it. I also took a class last year my sophomore year in web development.
If you want to know how i learned it was through the warrior cat graphics website fan base. Its huge! I made my first website using a template made by another person and just getting used to that. unfortunately something is wrong with their site right now so i cant link you to it. Here is one of my templates ive made.[link] And also using the tutorial i made as well you can see what different properties do and what they change.
