Description Episode art here we go, another week, another piece. This time one with quite a bit of action I'd say. Oh, and big (bigger) beasts hehe.

The moment that scene happened, I knew I'd probably end up doing that. It having the bonus of a large scale creature, even though I sized it a bit, but also Cadance. First time making her in pony form!

She had good addition to the episode as well, she acted quite nice in the end. Nice to see they put the spotlight on her for a bit, she was falling a bit behind.

Anyhow, great fun making this one. I now realise I kinda missed doing a large scale piece. Dutch angle returned as well, action, spinning, ponies. fun

Hope y'all are enjoying the weekly episode art

I dunno. What town to live in, and to stay away from the country's edge as much as possible cause you got scary shit like that above living in those out-of-places.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Dante-Wynter In reply to ChaoticNote [2014-01-28 19:40:27 +0000 UTC]

In all seriousness, if I did live in a world with such monstrosities, I would just avoid where they live. Β Here on earth, when I lived near some bad parts of town, I just stayed away from those parts. Β And, if for some reason, I had to go either into that area, or through it, I just took precautions.

In short, even with all those monsters, I'd still move to Equestria in a Filly Flash Second.

Nice use of blur to help push that feeling of motion! The canted shot is a perfect choice for this composition, as it adds uneasiness to the action.

Simply said, this scene is epic.

I have to say that your Tatzlwurm (name given by Meghan McCarthy: twitter.com/MMeghanMcCarthy/st… look obviously more terrifying that the one in the show. And so much dynamist in it! I love it! Not the creature. Yuck! I have... suddenly the impression someone will do something with that tentaculous creature. Urgh! I'm afraid so. Tommyoliver (the critic) said it could have been based on some creature of WotC (plated slagwurm).

But damn! we saw Cadance flying! We usually seen her only gliding mostly. And never using her magic like that. Lasers! Lasers! We never seen unicorns and alicorns using them before the part 2 of the season 2 finale. A lot changed since that episode. Good thing they had a health shield, which is quite convenient. It think people will love Cadance a bit more now.

So far, they didn't submit their drawfriend, but I expect it to get another header. Too epic. Awesome work.

Can't see what this has to do with the Tatzelwurm of mythology, but it was still a very cool monster and this pic does it justice!

The connection to the old myths is perhaps a bit blurry indeed, though the name is pretty cool and it's what was used by the writers in the scripts so I went with that

As a name it works fine, I just wonder what type of cats the writers have seen! Maybe it purrs when it's happy?
