I can draw humans, but I feel that my abilities are not up to commission standards and i would feel very uncomfortable accepting them. I would not believe that the end product was worth what people paid.
I know I should practice drawing humans again but I tend to have "moods" when it comes to drawing. Currently I'm in a pony and Zootopia type "mood".

hiya! i have always wondered: how do you actually commission people? like, do you tell the artist the exact pose, the exact lighting and stuff you want? or do you just send them a reference and leave the pose and stuf up to them? sorry if this is a dumb question..

You can be as specific or vague as you like, it just depends on what type of picture you want. I've had people just give me just references of their character and other people that have described the entire background and expression they want. It just depends what you want. Sometime I ask if they want anything in particular but other than that.
