I love the symbol of power and equality that the staff gave to Starlight Glimmer - it's something very real and relatable. Many of us give power to objects that we work with or see others with and it's easy to get obsessively attached to these. Starlight knows that the power she controls has nothing to do with the staff but nether-less knows of its importance. Just surprised she isn't holding onto it anymore.
My confuser situation and life stuffs make it a bit of a bitch to upload here as much as I have in the past but trying to get back up to speed.... Probably will find time to sort myself out later this month. x

You know I think I've started to see some parallels drawn between the original introduction to Starlight and some real life events going on now. It's kinda crazy. I'll have to rewatch them soon.
As for the wonderful drawing, she looks kinda sad and lonely. I love that. XD

Hehe, yeah. I think I can agree with you there. It's not quite 'George Orwell' levels of dystopia but certainly beginning to feel towards that way.... ^.^
Thanks, I'm glad the emotions convey though. I like to believe that Starlight holds onto her old views secretly. It just doesn't make much sense that her ideology would simply crumble - surely she was far too emotionally invested for that to happen. x

You'd be surprised how quickly someone can change their ideology when a big event happens. You see it a lot with people either losing or finding religion. Of course, I also don't think it was that quick. There seems to be a massive time jump between season five and six. I actually theorize that at the end of season five, in one song, they go through an entire year's worth of Starlight living in the castle. (Of course we all know that the writing of the show is... awkward in some places. so they basically don't let Starlight learn anything in said Year.) I sometimes wondered if they ended Season 5 like they did to test the waters, if people liked the idea of Twilight getting a student they could keep her around, if they didn't they could claim that she'd been trained already and could make cameos in the future. It's a safe decision, but one that throws my mind into insanity when Continuity goes up end lol.
Still the show aside, I really just love this picture so much.

I don't know much of Starlight Glimmer, nor what's her story, but if I started seeing the show again, then I would see how great this character can be. :3
