Description Erg, this is crappy. I hope it improves with colour.

I wanted to do something like Vhea but of course not the same. And I also wanted to do another tree. I've been wanting to do a spiritual tree to cross stitch (but this is not looking like I want at all ... will have to have another go at it I guess).

I'm feeling so very insecure about my art after showing my art book to my dad and his friend at a recent Christmas party. My dad blurted out 'this book is rubbish, it's all scribbles'

I know that what he meant to say was 'this isn't the kind of stuff of yours that I like (he prefers my realistic style drawings, or colourful, whimsical watercolours). But it still hurt.

My pens are all dead, so I had to paint this with black ink, so some of the lines are a little wobbly.

Oh and feel free to colour my scribbles if you want to.

Now I look at this tree and think it really is just scribbles ... sigh.

***Edit, here's the coloured version ... it did improve

dads......... ya gotta love em "sometimes". your art is really very beautiful and you surely dont need to feel insecure about it at all

thanks - I know he didn't really mean any harm. I'm learning to bolster myself against comments like that. And I know not everyone can love what I do.
