Beautiful yet haunting at the same time. And yeah that does look like the Monolith from 2001: A Space oddysey.
I almost confused it with the planet Europa from 2010: The year we make contact.

I love the pure power in this. It's got lots of depth. the color in the sky looks great.
The clouds look great as well.
I like the composition, its balanced, but I'd shoot the picture a touch to the left or right, so the stump wouldn't be centered.
And, I really love the angle. It adds more impact.

WOW! I bet even you couldn't believe it when you did it.
I never seen a representation of the sky like this. It truly shows how big the world is because you was concentrated only on the sky. Usually pictures like this have the sun itself as subject.

I like the contrast of the man-made shape against the natural forms. The fact that it's hard to discern what it is, or used to be.

Ooh, this is intense... and quite surreal, I have to say, mostly from the way the clouds are shaped, which makes me think of those flying saucers that you eat.
Anyway, I like the way the colours complement each other, although I'm not sure I'm fond of the stump near the bottom... other than that, it's quite interesting.

Thank you. I actually have a version of this where I used content aware to remove the stump thing but I'm not too entirely sure I am happy with the job content aware did with it, which was why I uploaded this version of the photo again.
