Description
The Turtle-jawed Moa-nalo (Chelychelynechen quassus), was a large species of duck that lived only on the island of Kaua’i in Hawaii. 🏝️🌺These flightless birds are known only from fragmented remains, and not much is known about their biology. However, judging by the size and shape of their beaks, it is concluded that these quackers were herbivores, probably eating all kinds of grasses and other flora.
