Description
The title of this piece is dedicated to me completely forgetting I had even created it! I was browsing through my files and found it. I think I made it last week.. shows how much I like it, huh?Related content

These eyes are like mine right now! i like this one, the title is a word i wanted to use for a set of dolls im making...(dont tell) forgotten women with traggic endings. This proyect made me put Ryden in search, and find your pictures.

now this piece reminds me of old photos of my great great grandmother. the stature and pose is almost identical. thank you for forcing me to remember subconciously.

I think the title "Forgotten" suits the work, even if the title came from you actually forgetting you had it. She looks like she stepped out of a photo from the 1800s... a ghost, and a bit derranged at that.
I like it a lot.

i like her poise and the fact that she is craddling herself moves me and yet there is some coldness in her eyes, and the lace detail is great

I love the piece's border. The way the girl is holding herself really conveys a solemn tone. Ooh, btw I love the background's textures!

It's eerie, but it's also quite pretty. I do think the red around eyes and lips is a little too bright, though, in contrast with the rest of the picture.

There are areas that look a little flat (the womans left hand mainly) and the blood on the mouth is a little sophomoric. Sometimes you can do more with less (in terms of making an evocative/compelling image).
The flourishes are nice...
The value relationship between the figure and background are such that one does not get a sense of a three dimension form but rather a rendered photo.
Of course, as you said, you'd forgotten about it so you must have felt it didn't "suceed" on some level.
good instincts.

This is beautiful. The victorian style clothing adds so much to whole macabre look of the piece. The textures are fantastic as well!

I love her clothing, and it goes so well with just the whole general style you've given the image. Beautiful job!

I think you should make her left arm a bit more darker, too much contrast in that region it almost takes your attention from other more important details in the image.
