I have to tighten his shoulder joints though, he can't hold his arms straight out. He might not be able to do that anyways, because of his heavy arms.

So the plastic wrap thing doesn't work on all joints hmm... just lighten his arms up- redistribute that mass tho his shoulders maybe that'll help?

His shoulder joints are made of the round pin which is three long. The roof of the car attaches to his forearms, so there's the main bulk. I will see what I can do.
