Most people would consider a halter class to be one of the easiest things to compete in. All you have to do is hold a leadrope and jog around the ring right? Not if you're handling a six month old, highstrung princess who is just starting to be weaned from her highstrung, tempermental mother. Which is what Maria was trying to do right before her turn in the ring.

"Would you stand still!" She hissed at the prancing filly, whose neck was outstretched and nostrils flared, whinnying for her mother. Maria sighed and stroked her neck, trying to calm the filly down enough to enter the ring.

"Try rubbing behind her ears." A masculine voice quietly said behind her. Maria turned to cautiously view the darker skinned young male. She had seen him around the stables, had heard the owner, Skye call him Yamir. Dominic seemed to respect him and the others she had seen around, so she figured he was alright to listen to.

She rubbed behind Blue's ears and turned her to face Yamir, relieved when the filly calmed down, ears perked up and alert to the action around her. "Thank you." She gave him a slight smile. "She can be a real handful at times, and her mother has her even more wound up this morning."

He chuckled slightly. " Young arabians seem to be a handful all the time. I don't envy you there." He gave a slight smile. "Good luck. I think you're next." He walked off towards the main barn with a young husky pup following close behind his heels. Maria watched him go thoughtfully for a moment before clucking to Blue. " Come on girl.. Lets show them our little princess."
