Inspired by a picture by Ayumi Kasai: [link]Another result of my AP Studio Art class, omg that class is so stressful... >_< this picture ended up taking WAY more time than it was supposed to, i wanted to try a new style, but markers are very unforgiving OTL the overall result was satisfactory, i guess, but i ended up spending so much time on it that i dont like the way it looks anymore, it looks rushed and messy. poop. oh well, i wanted to make a picture with a ton of different colours in it, so i chose to do a picture like this : D I hope you like it <3

Oh My God
Either you're lying about Crayola markers.. or you have superhuman powers. The most I got with those was like.. insane little kid drawings. This is so detailed and so colorful and beautiful.

You may have taken a lot of time on it, but just like you said, the end results are satisfactory and I agree.
The overall image itself is like an explosion of colour, and it's all well put together and just looking it is really giddy, makes you excited and all

idk why, but the way this is drawn & colored reminds me of the artwork in an old book of mine called Moon Lady... oh no i'm gonna take studio art my senior year... i hope its not too stressful...

Hm interesting Frencaboo style you've got. Nice attention to detail, but the picture's much too busy. There's no focus for the eyes and it gets distracting.
Other than that, very nice. I can see why this got a DD.

AP art huh? I took that, loved that class. Only got a 3 on the exam though. I learned a lot from my teacher, and the fact that you have to do so much art helps to grow your technique. Good luck on the exam! Oh and great piece

How did you get such great effects with markers?

haha to make the blending effects, i would take my finger and smudge the ink of the marker on the paper when it was still wet. i'm a very messy artist you'll soon find out, i'm always covered in something after art class, in this case it was marker, like, 24/7 ^^ heehee~<3
Um, i really liked my AP art class, mostly because of the people, it was really fun to be in a class with other people interested in art as much as me, so i made lots of friends and we talked and goofed around and inspired each other, it was amazing
but i must warn you, i dont know about your art program, but my class was really stressful, and i wanted to go on many rampages running amok with the paper cutter many times, but it was fun, just really stressful. i'm so excited for it all over again next year XDD
