Inspired by a picture by Ayumi Kasai: [link]Another result of my AP Studio Art class, omg that class is so stressful... >_< this picture ended up taking WAY more time than it was supposed to, i wanted to try a new style, but markers are very unforgiving OTL the overall result was satisfactory, i guess, but i ended up spending so much time on it that i dont like the way it looks anymore, it looks rushed and messy. poop. oh well, i wanted to make a picture with a ton of different colours in it, so i chose to do a picture like this : D I hope you like it <3
done with crayola markers (and a few prismas)

ha. funny you should ask, honestly, i'm not really sure... i worked on it at school during art for about 4 days, and then i started bringing it home, and then i started working on it during other classes and then during the school musical i was in while i was off stage... overall it ended up being about 3 weeks overdue, and yeah. i have no idea, but alot of hours went into this. but thank you so much for the comment, i'm happy to hear it doenst look as rushed as i see it does ^^

it actually doesnt look very messy at all, at first i thought it was a psychadelic picture cuz of all the colors.. but i see it has an asian theme to it.. which i like a lot.. instant fave

I just really wanted to do a picture that had a ton of colour and detail in it, i love colour and i had all these markers, andi was like, asian stuff!! >:] and that's how it happend. XD

I like it very much, it remembers some of Yoshitaka Amano's works, with tons of textures and color, just beautiful, you can spent a lot of time watching it.

yeah, got about an A- too. it was one of the most stressful classes i've ever taken. i'm taking 2 more this next school year. i'm hopful that because i had this one this year, i'll do better the next time around. good luck to you too! when i find out my score i'll tell you. be sure to do the same! horray!

omg, 2?!?!? O_O i would freak out, spazz, and die. i barely scraped by with just one, arn't you kinda scared..? i'm taking an independant study next year, so i can focus on what i wanna draw. i think im gonna do manga : D I dont know yet, havnt decided :/

haha. yeah, i'm not freaking out... yet. i decided at the last minute that i'd take 2 instead of the one. i think i got about a 2 this year, but i asked a magic eight-ball, and it told me i'd either get a 3 or a 4. i don't think it's telling the truth though ><. an independant study sounds really cool! i wish i could do that!
i don't know why they haven't sent my score by now, but i guess it's kind of premature. it's prolly a 2 anyways. i guess i won't be too disappointed if it is!

my results wont come in until at least july, thats what my art teacher told me, and i think you will get better than a 5! your art is really good ^^

omg!!! i got my results like, not even 10 minutes ago! thi is wierd, though. i got my slides, and my quality pieces, and my permission form. i can't tell my results, though. it's like they aren't eve there. either way, i contacted the college board. they'll know what's up. this was such a surprise!

haha omg it was SO stressful, i am so glad it is over, whaaa -_-;;; in the class i got an overall grade of an A-, but i dont find out what i got on my portfolio until july something, i'm all anxious and aprehensive now

im pretty sure i used them quite improperly, i kept smudging the ink with my fingers in hopes it would blend, and then i coloured over parts with other markers, and a paintbrush was used a few times...
yea. unfortunately art was first period and i was always covered in mess for the rest of the day :/
