Here is another of my Mad Men series. This is the first version of another great character from the show, Betty Draper (January Jones). This was was a challenge getting the likeness correct with the sunglasses. I actually did the face first, then added the glasses just to make sure I had the structure correct... Not sure if it helped, but I gave it a shot. I also did my best to not just paint Grace Kelly, she really looks like her in the show..The work contained in my gallery is copyrighted©2013 Aaron Kirby. Your style is a joy to the eye's. With this one. I can feel and smell the cracking seat leather and cigarettes Of the cars of the times. Also the warmth of the day and the wind having little effect on Betty's hair.

I also really love the detail you give the magazine covers you chose, and your attention to detail in how you match the font and probable side articles that would be mentioned in them. And of course, the well-thumbed-through look of the magazines --you can almost smell the mustiness!
