Description
Last weekend I couldn’t be very much here, specially this Sunday, because I was washing clothes and organizing the drawing folders I have on my bedroom, and when I was doing that I realized I had a lot of drawings that I’ve made but not posted! This one it’s a sequence of [link] it can be before or after the other photo. When I drew it I was thinking it to be before, like in the time where they are waiting for the wave, but it can be after, when they take a rest after surfing. I made this one on October 2008. Here in the pic there's Wilt, mac, bloo, and faikel who is teaching them to surf
Plus, I added 2 more sketches to this one pic I posted [link]

Hehe yes you're right my dear friend! And by the way, I've been thinking of giving you a gift to thank you all your support and friendship, and also to thank you for giving me a premium membership too, so I would like to know if you would like a drawing of something in particular? Or would you prefer me to surprise you?

That's very generous, thank you! You can probably guess who I'd like a pic of (I'm very predictable like that
). As for the details, you're the artist, so I'll leave that up to you.
It might interest you to know that Craig McCracken has a new show in the works for the Disney Channel:

Looks pretty good to me. Hopefully Craig will be at Comic-Con this year and will give us some more details.

It's totally my pleasure to do this for you cos you so deserve it pal!!
oh yes I probably can guess, actually I think I guessed it already
And I'm glad you like my art so much to let me having the honor to draw something for you!
And thanks a for allowing me to be creative with the gift
I appreciate it a lot always cos, for an artist, to have to work with strict guidelines of what to draw it's frustrating, it's very much like cutting the wings of a bird.
Oh and, thanks a lot for the info about the new Craig show, it sounds pretty good indeed

It's interesting that artists seem to fall into one of two groups; those like you, who prefer not to have strict guidelines, and those who do. I've commissioned both types and happily I've gotten great art every time.
Again, thank you for the pic; really made my day.

Really? Really are artist that prefer to have strict guidelines! WOW!! That's so interesting indeed, I thought no artist liked that I just can't imagine why any artist would like to draw with so strict guidelines, since art it's precisely the creation of something out of imagination, expressing yourself
I personally feel telling an artist what to draw and what not to draw it's shortening their creativity, so that's why I prefer that people let me to express my creativity, cos that way my drawings come out not just good, but AWESOME cos i put a lot of creativity in them and thus more motivation and more love ^___^
but well, it's interesting to know theres also artist that prefer to have strict guidelines, even if it's difficult to believe that for me
And I'm so happy the pic made your day, my dear friend, because you deserve this and more!!

I think it's because commissioned artists are getting paid, so they want to be certain they're giving the client exactly what he/she wants. In some cases the artist might be unfamiliar with a requested character (especially if it's an OC) and doesn't want to do an out-of-character pic so he/she asks the client for more details. As for me, I can come up with a dozen ideas for outfits, poses, etc., but I think it's more fun for everyone to just say "A pic of (whoever), please" and see what the artist creates.

Well, that's a very special case I think. When I used to do comissions for my classmates in school, I liked to work with specific directions, because I was more in calm knowing that I'll draw them exactly what they wanted Also I used to ask question about characters I didn't know because you're right, I didn't wanted to do an out of character pic
But when you do a request or a gift, it's a different situation, so I think it's better if they ask "a pic of this character" and "surprise me" cos it's always wonderful to let the artist express creativity I know it for experience, a drawing comes out better when the artist feel they have the freedom to do art the way they like be creative
I feel like when they do that they put a bit more of themselves in the piece
Or at least it's my case
