an idea that I came up with after seeing the art, might make this a series if only as an excuse to write TGs about characters whose designs I like without actually knowing who they are

"Fucking nerd…" His face pressed into the mud, Jim could do nothing but stare up at George. On the ground beside him were various volumes of manga, including the one Jim had been reading as he walked, knocking carelessly into the bully and leading to this very unfortunate situation. "If I ever catch you with those dumbass comics again, I’ll burn them in a fire!" With that, George kicked Jim once more in the side and began to walk off.
"No one understands me…" As Jim picked himself off the ground and packed the volumes of manga back into his back, he stopped for a moment as his eye caught something lying on the ground, in the shadow of one of the buildings: what seemed to be a remote control. He made his way over to the remote, stooped down and picked it up. On top of the remote were printed a few words: “Instant Cosplay!”
"Hmm…" The remote control showed a couple of different options, and one of them ('Target') already had something beside it, a couple of blinking words: ‘George Harrison’. "George?" Jim took a look at the next option, 'Character'. There weren't any options, just a blinking indicator - he was probably supposed to type a name in.
But who? Jim's eyes turned towards the manga he had been reading, and the redhead shown on the cover. "What the hell, why not?" It wasn't like anything was going to happen anyway… and so, Jim typed in the name 'Yoko Littner', and watched a buffering wheel spin on the screen.
"Huh…?" Looking up at George, who still had his back turned, Jim saw the bully stop in his tracks. Then, George turned around and began to walk towards him. "I-I'm sorry!! I didn't know what was going to-" His voice cut off as Jim saw the other young man's face. Did it look… different?
But… that was not the only thing about George that looked different. With every step he took closer Jim could see his body slimming, the football team ace's muscles nowhere to be seen on his bare arms. And… were those boobs pushing against the front of his uniform shirt? George stopped just a couple of feet in front of Jim, his short hair becoming longer and longer until it practically reached his feet, its color becoming a striking red.
"Hey… how do I look?" The voice that came from George's mouth was completely different as well - feminine but strong, with a tomboyish hint to it. And before his eyes the clothes on his (her?) body warped and changed entirely, boring uniform shirt and trousers replaced a set of bra and panties that left preciously little to the imagination, and a couple of skull-shaped hair accessories appearing to complete the look.
There was no denying it - Jim's bully was now the spitting image of Yoko from the manga he had just been reading. And Jim found he was somehow able to remember this new girl very well - knowing his passion for anything anime, Genny had always been sure to seek his advice in the past with the costumes she made herself, too shy to let others know about her hobby of cosplaying.
But there were still a couple of options on the remote… Jim typed in 'Normally shy and reserved, but can be confident and teasing when cosplaying' for 'Personality', and looked up at Genny. "Hey, I was talking to you-" The annoyed look on her face faltered, and the girl suddenly blushed and looked down. "Do… do you not like it?"
"Of course not! You're looking great in it, Genny…" Jim looked down at the remote, intending to mess around with the remaining options a little more - but then his mind went blank as Genny pressed her lips against his, drawing the boy into a loving kiss. Of course, how could he have forgotten? He remembered growing closer to Genny over time, the girl finally building up the courage to confess her feelings one afternoon a few months ago - and the two hadn't looked back since.
After Genny changed back into her school uniform and the two began walking home hand in hand, Jim found his gaze kept drifting back to the remote, which had already brought such incredible changes to his life. But there were still a couple of options on the remote to explore… who knew? Jim’s life had certainly gotten a lot more interesting…
