Description
This is my 008 of Marnie [miincdesign ] and my Pong series, Pongalicous.Derivative of her 007 becomes my number 008.
The Pinecone Snails spawn every 5 years in the warm brackish waters near the coast.
Having lots of fun with this parameter set - shifting the order of the formulas makes for some very fun explorations! I did some postwork here to fiddle with the colors (not much, curves and vibrance) and also did my antialiasing in Photoshop, as usual. RE: the texture - I have found using images from NASA to be interesting texture maps

Nice idea: Nebulae (which often look a bit like fractals) made to colors of our fractals. I should remember

WOW! Incredible scene...The colors are really fantastic here, and they add to the both desolate and hopeful atmosphere. I think on some level this resonates with me more so than any other "shell" shaped piece I've ever seen!

I've taken to saving my .m3i file with the image in it because i have so many 'oh shits' - saves me the time of having to re-render to undo my latest bad experiment LOL

I have so many also...I just haven't saved the pictures, maybe I should do that also. I changed the render setting until I am ready to go for the real one. I have mine rendering right now. I think you might like this one also
