This reminds me of a book called The Little Prince, who lived on a small planet with a rose and a sheep drawing!

Haha, thanks! I was reminded of the book myself as I drew it. In fact, I originally sketched an asteroid planet due to that book.

The first impression this artwork gave me was that it looks very strange. But then I realized the weirdness is what I like in this one. The way you managed to use ink and watercolours in the same piece is gorgeous. The background looks great although it's pretty simple. Maybe the hedgehog could have had more spikes on it to make it differentiate better. Now it looks somewhat the same with the moon (Is it moon?) if you understand what I mean but that's all. This is overall very well done. Keep up the great work! ^^

Well, I searched through the entire drawing and couldn't find a single mistake, so it seems you have been drawing like this for a long time and know what you're doing. I found this drawing to be very cute and imaginative and also quite surreal. I love the fact that your main colors stuck to blue and gold and the dark blue causes that bright gold to really pop. I absolutely adore the detail in the background.I can imagine that took up most of your time with the layering and whatnot and the little hedgehog just makes me smile. Good job!

The hedgie is lonely, I suppose, but happy too. For he has grand adventures among the stars and loves his garden so.

Wow, I definitely like your coloring and art style. The darker tones are nicely delivered and the bright colors are well brought up thanks to them. A wonderful artwork, I must say. The concept you present is very interesting and makes me go, "Aww." It's so cute and at the same time, invites more attention. ^_^

I appreciate your comment! I was worried that the dark blues might overshadow the lighter colors, but I think it turned out better than I expected it to. :3

This is indeed very reminiscent of the Little Prince (especially with the inking). The colours are great!

Yellow on blue seems to be a combination that works really well no matter where I see it. I really need to remember that.
Your painting is obviously very good. I don't see any flaws, considering the medium. There are some parts where the yellow and the blue mix to a shade of green, but that's a very minor thing.

And it all works so well together! The smoother drawing and painting in the front and the more abstract background. The shades of blue. The yellow spots glowing on the darker background.
Well, maybe there could have been some gradient change from the smooth foreground into the background by becoming more and more abstract, in the yellow atmosphere maybe. And it might also look weirdly cropped: The comet is a bit too far on the left, but not enough to look significant.

Whatever you did to get all of the colours in this photo, you should share your secret! There are so many people struggling with that!

Thank you so much! This is the first time I had tried this board, and honestly, it was a huge help. It really brought out the colors of the paints, which were very bright themselves. I use liquid watercolors, which are known for their intense colors. I have a list of the materials used here , if you'd like a look or to share it! I've also thought about doing a small series of photos showing how I do the colors, in case anyone is interested.

I agree with your cropping comment. I tend to paint to the edge of my board/paper, but when matted it looks a bit better. I wanted it off-center on purpose, but think it would have looked MORE purposeful if I had used a larger board. And that's a really good idea with the abstract gradient. I will have to attempt that for my next painting.

The idea is interesting, and there is a great harmony in the colours and composition ! It directly reminded me of The Little Prince by Saint Exupery !
Nice work here in any way  Keep up the good work
