Jeremiah Fowler, because I so clearly needed... what, a fourteenth naga character? Totally! Good lord. Here's a bit of backstory, I'll type out a nicer version later, but feel free to skip over it if you don't feel like reading....

He's based off of a banded sea krait, which are highly venomous but generally docile, much like he is. He's a bit deranged, and can be viciously bloodthirsty, but he has his weaker moments as well. He's captain of a small frigate known as the Inquisitor, and spends most of his time tooling around the Indian and Pacific oceans, intercepting trade ships from Europe to the east.

He's Indonesian, or at least half, father having been an English botanist, Isaiah Fowler, who was conducting some studies in the area. He stumbled across an ancient and revered naga culture tangled deep in the jungles, on one of his expeditions, and made it with some Spice Island snake goddess or another, but was shouldered with the fruit of their union when the child was left on his doorstep. Although distinctly naga-like in apparaence, his mother was shamed by the entire incident, and couldn't face the rest of her people with a half-human child (hurrhurr, cliche much?). However, neither would carting a venomous snakemonster back to the British scientific community go over very well, so Isaiah fathered him for several years, before eventually leaving him with some of the local tribespeople in order to return to England, when the child became too unruly for him to handle.

The seafaring locals seemed to have a better time of it, having regarded the jungle nagas as a distant, but awe-worthy race, and were pleased to have one in their midst. They taught the paternally-named Jeremiah (simply "Biru" as he was called by the tribespeople) the ways of sailing, in addition to what he picked up from visiting explorers and traders. However, he was quite fond of his quiet tropical home, so when ships from Europe began to arrive in greater and greater numbers, with promises to populate and overtake his village and convert his people into good Christians, he took to the sea and commenced a life of vicious and effective piracy in an attempt to deter some of the influx of travellers. It worked, initially, but though he always harbored a quiet love for his origins, he found the sea far more tempting and soon was making excursions all around the world with a motley crew of humans and non. He usually returns to patrol his home waters every few years or so, but has lost sight of his original somewhat-noble purposes and hasn't visited his home village for many years. There are too many other places in the world to explore!

Not shown here, but visible in my scraps, he also owns a pair of sun conures, Kecil and Keras, that he adores the hell out of. And he enjoys paisley, though I forgot to add it on his bandana in this picture. SO YEAH. I'm alright with how this came out. The coils are drek and the coloring was rushed, but whatever! XD It's done.
