Description DISCLAIMER: I'm not claiming this to be the only way of doing something. It is just the way I do it and there are literally an infinite amount of other ways to do it. I hope people can take bits and pieces with them so they can learn and hopefully expand until they create something of their own

This tutorial is made with beginners (as in just starting out with digital colouring) in mind and so is really only covering the basics. I tried to explain things as simply as I could, but if you have a question that I didn't explain properly, feel free to ask ^^

I hope this may help some people learn some of the basics, but much of art can only be learnt from practice and experimentation. Try things out, succeed and fail! At the end of the day you will still learn and grow as an artist.

Aha! The secrets of superspecialawesome Auro gradient coloring revealed! Man, I seriously need to play around in Photoshop more. I had no idea about half of that stuff. Anyway, you rock for making this tutorial.

Thanks ^_^

I use gradients and layer modes everywhere Sometimes it actually feels like cheating hahaha. But I really recommend playing around with the different layer modes, you can get some really nice effects, balance colours and generally get something interesting going on easily

Thank you for making this. I tried it out in PhotoPlus X4 (which has basically the same tools) and colored my picture of Blair (in cat form) from Soul Eater: [link] I'm not brave enough to upload it on here just yet, but I did want to thank you for 'dumbing this down' so I can at least learn and use the basics in digital coloring.
