Will scrap laterWhile I feel I have been doing a lot of drawing
Especially of characters in my manga
I haven't actually been doing finished pieces
(And Ryu is getting sorely neglected)
So I thought I'd show you something else I'm working on
This is another of my boyfriends characters that is in a story that he is writing
Her name is Aster.
None of the clothing colours are totally defined as of yet
I really feel that I am improving on my realism
I love how the nose and the eyes are looking
And the hair!
The swatches are the colours that I have been using in the shadows and highlights
I've found that for realism,
putting all shadows (Or highlights) on the same layer (For Ie Skin)
And then using a layer effect like Multiply
Makes it so much easier to do various colours in the shadows
Without it looking to outlandish

Same - I've attempted to give two of my characters in my manga braids
One of them was a definite yes (Lian)
The other (Sheng) Never took off, he's gone back to his old hairstyle
(But now that I've worked out how to draw that style better it looks awesome

As for Aster, it's not my character and she described as having braids
(It one of my boyfriend's characters in a story he's writing)

I need a character with braids. I've always wanted to get those clip in hair peices with braids and clip them in under my hair..so I have short hair and long braids~ lawli'msoweird
