Sometimes I love hugging everyone! And sometimes I can't even handle being hugged by my husband. Before my husband hugs me he always gives me either a visual/audio cue that he knows that I know, and then enough time to let me accept the hug, or deny it. Just that little thing means so much to me. It shows that he cares about my bodily autonomy.
