Tar...d... Nice play on words, and an equally appealing emote. (did I say that mediocre-at-best line just now? :/)
This is a well made nicely pixelled piece. That expression is priceless with his hands being held back, the curve in the mouth and the high up eyes. The shading on tar is simple, but as I've said in other critiques, effective. I could learn a lot from that.
The base of the emote is however out of line with the base of the tar, and (to me) it doesn't appear to be pooling into the foreground because it goes back and up (right and up) to be level. As KlauS92 said, it would also make a great animation, so points were lost because it's static and in my opinion could easily be animated with a lil' hand movement and eye twitching.

Thank you for the critique!
"it doesn't appear to be pooling into the foreground because it goes back and up (right and up) to be level"
By this, do you mean it would look better as a pool completely surrounding the emote, or that I should take off the bottom line of pixels of the tar?
I agree with the idea it would be better as an animation. I will bump it up on my "to-do" list and hopefully get to it soon
Thank you so much for the feedback

Thankyou for accepting my critique.
the shape of the tar pool isn't a problem but I think maybe moving the emote itself downward you might achieve a slightly better look. But you'd have to fiddle with it a little, and it looks good how it is really. Perfecting the static emote shouldn't be a high a priority as taking what you have now and animating it in my opinion.

And awesome concept too.
Like Klaus said, you should make him squirming.

I'm glad you approve.
I've put animating this guy on my to-do list, but it'll be awhile. :< Long list, you know.
