Description

Name: Amoldine Arlington

Born: October 26, 1930; London, United Kingdom

Allegiance: Assassins

Bio: Amoldine was born to a British reporter named Edward Arlington and his wife from the Dutch East Indies, Dhia Rajawali, both members of the Assassin Brotherhood.  As such, they raised her in the ways of the Creed and showed her an endless supply of love.  She found she had it rather easy until World War 2 broke out in 1939.  Amoldine and her family were forced to take cover when the Germans began launching the air raids on Britain known as the Blitz.  As Assassins, they did their best to protect London and it's people while still keeping safe themselves.  Amoldine herself managed to help two girls about her age who had been separated from their parents in the winter of 1940.  She helped them get back to her father's newsprinting building where they all took shelter.  The three girls played together until the attack was over and quickly became good friends.  The next morning, the girls’ parents showed up, and Amoldine was shocked to find that they were the king and queen, meaning she had just made friends with Princesses Elizabeth and Margaret, and it would prove to be a friendship that would persist across the years.

7 years later, she was buddy buddies with practically the whole royal family, a connection which served the Assassins well.  She had to sneak into Elizabeth's wedding in 1947 because stubborn Prince Philip had the Assassin taken off the guest list, but that hardly stopped her from attending her friend's big event.  Amoldine and Elizabeth's father often met to discuss how they would combat the Templars trying to control the country, though these negotiations met a tragic end when the king died in 1952.  Amoldine comforted Elizabeth and Margaret in their grieving months, and decided to investigate the king’s death, thinking something wasn't right about it.  Indeed, she found out that the Templars were responsible, and she killed the man who did the deed.  Elizabeth was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom shortly after, dawning a new age for England, the Royal Family, and the Assassins.

Amoldine continued to operate throughout London uncovering various conspiracies and adventures, one such occasion resulting in her meeting up with famed James Bond author Ian Fleming, and another involving a Templar traitor named Alan Turing in 1954.  She also helped Prime Minister Winston Churchill seek out Soviet spies and eliminate the threat.  But one of her biggest problems had arisen in the Royal Family.  Princess Margaret had begun a secret romance with the pilot Peter Townsend, which the Royal Family, including Elizabeth, was against due to royal marriage laws.  Amoldine herself backed her friend, trying to help her find a way around the laws.  Things just got shakier and shakier, however, especially when the story had somehow gotten leaked to the newspapers.  The public was in an outcry against the Royal Family and their lack of support.  The pressure eventually forced Margaret and Peter to split up in 1955, much to Amoldine’s dismay.

That same year, Winston Churchill retired from being Prime Minister and was replaced by Anthony Eden, whose Prime Ministry was immediately faced with the issue of the Suez Canal Crisis in 1956.  Amoldine traveled to Egypt in hopes of eliminating Templar influence there, and returned shortly thereafter.  Eden stepped down from his role in 1957, unable to handle the stress.

Amoldine found herself on quite the emotional rollercoaster.  Her friends were in shambles and she was quickly running out of people she felt she could trust.  Even Elizabeth herself seemed to start hearing the Templars whisper in her other ear, driving the queen and Amoldine apart.  Tired of the Templars ripping her good life to shreds, she tracked down the British Grand Master, Stephen Ward, who purposefully spread such arrogance across his power-tripping Order and the Royal Family that they influenced in his ongoing belief that they were unstoppable and on top of the world.  He set up the famed Profumo Affair, still holding the belief he could get away with anything, and Amoldine proved him wrong by exposing the scheme to the papers.  Ward was eventually arrested and tried for his underground crimes, but he managed to slip away.  Amoldine chased him down, killed him, and opened the gates for the Conservative government to lose the 1963 election to the Labour Party.  Things remained shaky between Queen Elizabeth and her old friend after that, though as the years went on, they managed to work together and make amends on many issues.

Amoldine eventually hooked up with a young lad named Efron Nesher, who worked at her newspaper building.  They had a son named Aren in 1966, and married shortly thereafter to start a family.  Amoldine raised her son with the same love and morals that her own parents did, and the family often went on many adventures together.  In 1968, Amoldine helped an African American Assassin named Fulton Falcone hunt down a Templar named James Earl Ray, murderer of civil rights activist Dr. Martin Luther king Jr, in London and subsequently hand the criminal over to the police.  Amoldine and Aren were sent to the Falkland Islands in 1982 to handle the Templar influence there.  Amoldine continued to live in England for the rest of her life, and eventually retired from the Brotherhood in the early 2000s.  She settled down in her quaint little home, where she continues to live peacefully to this day.

She is the grandmother of Ava Arlie.

You know how Zorro leaves a mark of a giant Z wherever he goes?

I bet whenever she kills someone, they're left wearing a cozy knit sweater.
