Description
A reference sheet for another main character in the historical setting of my fanfic, “Anthem”
------------
Name: Arnold Bellamy
Born: February 5, 1793; London, England
Died: May 24, 1870; Montreal, Quebec
Allegiance: Assassins
Bio: Arnold was born to an English merchant in London in 1793. He grew up with a relatively normal life, helping his family, learning life skills, etc. But his life took a turn when he was fifteen. When Napoleon's forces started going to war with England, Arnold’s father volunteered to join the army and fight them off. Arnold and his mother were left to take care of the household and their business themselves, awaiting his father's return. But one day, in 1808, they received the bad news: Arnold’s father had been killed in battle. Devastated and emotional, Arnold rashly ran away from home and joined the navy just as his father did. However, his lack of fighting skills almost got him killed day one. Almost.
During a battle, just before he was hacked to bits by a French soldier, he was rescued by a man in a blue hood, a man named Arno Dorian. Arno saw potential in Arnold and offered to train him, and after some hesitation, Arnold accepted. Arno took Arnold back to Paris, and it was there that Arnold learned of the Assassins and their goal of bringing freedom and justice to all people. After training for several months, Arnold eventually joined the Assassins officially, learning to finally let go of the pain of his father's death in the process.
He worked throughout Europe for a couple more years, until eventually the Assassins sent him to the Americas to fight the Templars there. It was there that he met Aveza Deryn, a charming young Assassin that would become a good friend of his. When the War of 1812 broke out between the Americans and the British, Arnold worked with Aveza and the other Assassins to save the Native tribes and the Canadian citizens from American expansion. After the war, he and Aveza worked throughout Canada and America, stamping out any Templar influence they could. He passed away peacefully in 1870, his family at his side.
