Description Part four of milking my friend famous YouTuber Blobbygobster ’s birthday for content is his Irish-American OC Caleb McCride.  Born to Assassins on a ship bound for the Americas in 1792, Caleb actually remained blissfully unaware of the Brotherhood's existence until 1811, when the shop he was running in New York City was burnt to the ground by Templar extortionists.  Before he could flee the city with his parents, the Templars caught up with them, butchered his folks, and stabbed him in the stomach.  After being rescued and brought to the Davenport Homestead by the Assassin Mentor Connor, Caleb swore his blade to the Brotherhood and set about searching for the men responsible for all his woes.  A year into his training, the Templars orchestrated the War of 1812 between the United States and Great Britain to diminish Assassin influence and gain access to an isu site being guarded by the Assassin Tecumseh.  Caleb's assassination of Templar agent Michael Rooks revealed a conspiracy in New England which would ultimately involve the Hartford Convention, potentially splitting the nation in two.  Caleb worked together with Shawnee-Canadian Assassin Aveza Deryn, who had to learn to put aside her own biases against Americans in general to recognize the importance of balancing the powers in combating the Templars, in order to dig these conspirators out of the shadows.  By the end of the war, Caleb would achieve the rank of Master Assassin.

Caleb finally found the time to settle down by 1824, when he married a lovely young woman named Marie, and the two fostered their son Jackson in 1827.  Jackson sadly was lost during a Templar ambush on their carriage, and presumed dead.  Though the loss would be followed by the birth of their second son, William, Caleb's depression was inconsolable.  He'd spend his last days holed up on his homestead in Richmond, Virginia, putting a bullet between the eyes of every Templar raiding party that tried to come put down the old dog.  Life only returned to his eyes in 1845, when his friend and fellow Assassin Steven Johnson brought his young trainee with him to help defend the property.  This trainee, it turned out, was their long lost son Jackson, reuniting the family just in time to be split up for the last time.  Fleeing the homestead during a particularly dire attack, a stray bullet caught Caleb in the chest.  Knowing he'd bleed out anyway, Caleb hopped out of the carriage and urged his family to continue on.  Caleb was slain there on the road with a gun in his hand and a blade up his sleeve.

Design notes, don't draw a leprechaun don't draw a leprechaun don't draw a- oh goddammit.  Okay look I'm only partially to blame.  Brandon's the one who described Caleb like he's cosplaying as the Irish flag XD Jokes aside, this one was honestly a lot of fun to glow-up.  It's been a while since I've gotten to flex my Regency Era muscles, and I'm not disappointed.  Well okay, I'm a little disappointed that my scanner decided this was another one where it didn't want to cooperate with the black outfit, but at least it came out slightly clearer than the other one.  Honestly I was more scared about the green here.  I needed it to be that bright shamrock chartreuse, and that's really difficult when 90% of the composition is pencil lead.  I was able to keep it pretty clean though, and a little bit of editing magic helped buff out any awkward smears.  I'm quite happy with this, and Brandon is too!  That's what's really important.
