A new reference sheet for Jacob's ( ) OC, the vigilante with no allegiance: Dusk.

Name: Jacob ‘Dusk’ Singer

Bio: Jacob grew up with a very rough childhood, with an abusive mother who constantly neglected him and his three brothers. Jacob, despite being at the center of abuse himself, took it upon himself to be responsible and take care of his siblings when no one else would. However, life was still a struggle. He suffered from PTSD but was forced to take the wrong medication for it, and had a very difficult time finding friends and support due to constantly moving from place to place, school to school. The only constant ally he had was his nana, who did whatever she could to help him. Eventually, after the proper authorities were informed, Jacob and his brothers were taken out of their mother’s custody and sent to live in a group home, where they were slowly separated. Upon learning where he was, his nana came to take him in. It took a long battle with the courts to make it so, but luckily they eventually won the case.

Since then, Jacob lived a happier life with her. After finally escaping his old torturous life, Jacob decided he'd devote himself to ensure no one would have to feel the same way he did back then. He began building friendships at his new high school, ones that would last longer than any he had before. One such friend was Carter Spainhower, who had also once escaped an abusive parent and moved to a better place. Jacob lived a normal life, going to school, hanging with friends, playing video games. That is until one day in late 2015 that would change his life forever.

One dark night in September, a group of masked men broke into his home and kidnapped him. They took him to an unknown location in downtown Indianapolis and told him he was going to be inducted into an ancient Order set on controlling the world, the Templars. They threatened to kill him and his nana if he resisted, and so he joined their army. Over the next few weeks, Jacob was trained to fight and was told the secrets of the Order and of their eternal war against their enemies, the Assassins. Jacob initially agreed with the Templar philosophy, but despised their methods. And by November, he couldn't stand for the crimes they had committed against humanity, and he rebelled.

But the Templars quickly struck back, beating him down and planning to execute him. But he was suddenly rescued by two Assassins who happened to be on a mission to raid the Templar hideout he was being held in. One he'd learn to be named Vienna Joel, the other, much to his surprise, was his friend Carter. Carter offered to give Jacob a position in the Brotherhood, offered him the chance to do the right thing and help save lives and liberty. Jacob, not having many other options, took up the offer and joined the Assassins in their quest to save the world from tyranny.

For the next few months, he worked with Carter and his cousin Chelsea to rid the Templars from Indianapolis, though he always had doubts about the Assassins as well. Things only got worse in January 2016, when they found a Staff of Eden underneath the caves of Corydon. The Staff corrupted his mind, causing him to do rash and drastic things that ultimately got a lot of his friends hurt. He fled the Assassins, and went into hiding before resurfacing again in May, when he nearly destroyed the city with the Staff, and probably would have had it not been for the intervention of Carter and his friend Jess. They thought they killed him that night, but Jacob, now going by the underground moniker “Dusk”, contacted Carter from afar a few days later to show he was alive and working. He decided to focus on stopping the Master Templar, Cole Morgenster, from carrying out a dastardly plan, but this ultimately led to his capture and imprisonment.
