I may have ended the threat to our universe, but I never could've anticipated a threat from another universe. But here we are now I guess, fighting not just the Devil himself again but now some whacked out time wizard from another dimension. God my life is weird… At least I have my friends by my side, plus a few new extras who have gone up against Mr. time wizard before. They know their stuff, and needless to say their… special talents are really going to help us out in this fight. If we work fast enough, maybe we can even end the fight before it starts. If we can get the two artifacts the bad guys need before they do, we might just be able to blast them out of the spacetime continuum. So of course, I gotta jump back into that machine again. Some old family stones still not turned back over. My great-grandfather, Bromden Arnolds, he knew what happened to the artifacts. He was there. He was there when they went farther than any other humans. And through him, and his memories of that race for space, I'll know too. My name is Ava Arlie, and things are about to get very out of this world.”

Yes really XD

Hey guys I'm back! And I know what you're thinking: Catherine, what the hell is this? Have you officially lost it? What shower thoughts pipe dream did this come out of?

The answer to all of those questions is yes.

Honestly this started as a joke XD and I were talking about old shows we loved as kids and started drawing parallels between some of our OCs and the characters in those shows, specifically, as you can tell, Ben 10. And those joke discussions of character interactions got a lot of laughs but at the same time, they were somehow interesting ideas that could be worked with even if they shouldn't. And then one day after I finished writing a chapter for the first story in the next Project Thunderbird arch I was like “what if I actually like… wrote up a prologue for that story idea. Just to see what it would be like?” so I did. And then we made chapter 1. Then chapter 2. And then suddenly we were already neck deep in this story that was originally just a joke that no one thought would work or be good XD So now here you go, internet. Possibly the world's only Ben 10/Assassin's Creed crossover fanfiction. No one asked for this, but goddammit if Supernatural can do a crossover with Scooby Doo then nothing is off the table. If a big respectable company like them can make stupid stuff and have fun with it then so can we XD

So yeah, this is “Horizons”. A sort of in-between archs story for the Project Thunderbird line up. In modern day Bellwood, Ava and her friends suddenly find themselves being hit head-on with visitations from an entirely different universe. An evil alien being known as Eon has come to this world in hopes of finding artifacts that will give him ultimate power to conquer all of the multiverse. He knows he can't do it alone, so he uses his powers of time manipulation to bring the dastardly isu villain Lucifer back from the dead after three years. With such a deadly combo, Ava and her friends are united with a trio of heroes from Eon's universe to help stop their evil plans. Ben Tennyson, wielder of the Ultimatrix, which gives him the power to turn into dozens of superpowered alien species, his cousin Gwen, a master of magic and mana manipulation, and their friend Kevin, who has the power to absorb materials and energy to enhance his natural strengths. Together with the Assassins, they're determined to find two artifacts before their foes do: one from each universe.

But in order to do that, Ava has to hop in the Animus again. I figured since this is a Ben 10 crossover and Ben 10 is all about space and aliens, what better time period to pick than the Space Race? This time around, Ava's hopping into the memories of her great-grandfather, Major Bromden Arnolds. Raised by Assassins and trained in the Philippines, Bromden has a lot of training under his belt. But when he uncovers a Templar conspiracy that threatens to engulf not just one world, but two, he wonders if his training will be able to square up to what he's now up against. His journey is going to take him down many roads he wish he didn't have to travel. From mysterious crash sites in the desert, to hidden military bases, and even the White House, Bromden's path is a long one with many daggers at his back. But the fate of humankind's next small step and next giant leap is in his hands, and he's determined to make sure the next hands it gets placed in are the right ones.

I honestly do hope you guys enjoy this story. We know how silly and stupid it is, but we still had a lot of fun playing around with the absurd We didn't just crap this out in a night. We put heart and soul into this like we do with all of our stories, so I hope you get the same enjoyment out of it that we did.

Don't worry, next time we'll get back to your regularly scheduled pure Assassin's Creed fics lol. We won't do this kind of thing again
