Description
So, as it turns out, I do have someone famous in my ancestry. This here is a reference sheet for John Alden, a voyager on the Mayflower and, as depicted here, a member of the Templar order.Name: John Alden
Born: England; 1599
Died: Plymouth, Massachusetts; 1687
Occupation: Pilgrim
Allegiance: Templars
Bio: John was born in England in 1599 to a small family of merchants. He carried on in this business until his early 20's. In 1620, a group of Puritan separatists organized a voyage to the Americas, claiming to bring religious freedom to themselves. After eavesdropping on some of the pilgrims conversations, they noticed him and took an interest in him. They offered him a job on their ship, and after a while of thinking, John agreed. The ship, dubbed the Mayflower, set off to America a few days later.
On the voyage, he was introduced to William Bradford, the leader of the operation. Bradford took a liking to John, and eventually trusted him with his secrets. He told John that he was a member of the Templar order, and that the voyage was arranged by the order so that they could bring their "new world order" to America. After weeks of conversing, John was eventually offered to join the order. John accepted, making it his goal to bring order and peace to the Americas. He was officially inducted when the ship arrived at Plymouth in 1621.
John lived his life normally, having a wife and kids ant home, but he spent a lot of his time on missions for the Templars. He quickly learned of the Templars' enemies, the Assassins. Several of the Natives that resisted English influence sided with the Assassins, wanting to preserve their freedoms. John, like several other Templars, spent a lot of his time hunting down every one of these Assassins that he could find. He even managed to kill one of the best warriors that the American Assassins had, Kahente, during the Mystic Massacre.
Some Natives did accept the Templars' influence. They made peace with them, and helped them survive the harsh conditions. They even had a feast in the fall, which would one day be known as Thanksgiving. One Native Templar, Squanto, who was an ex-member of the Assassins, told John of several Temples built by Those Who Came Before. The Assassins managed to kill Squanto for his treachery before he could reveal the exact location of the temples to John. John and the Templars spent the next few years finding and excavating these temples.
John continued his Templar work throughout his life, though he did less and less as the days years flied by. He stayed loyal to the Order until his death in 1687.

My mom and I do a lot of genealogy stuff. It's one of the few things that we were always able to cooperate on.
