Something a friend asked me to do for them in an art trade a while back :V

Name: Malachai “Kai” Abergel
Born: August 5, 1840; Salish village, Columbia District
Died: Date Unknown; Location Unknown
Allegiance: Templars

Bio: Malachai was born and raised in a small coastal village made up of multiple Salish families of various social creeds. Their mother was a popular weaver, and she used this talent as well as her natural charm to work her way into relative nobility. This would eventually rub off onto Malachai and become their love of fashion and finer things. Malachai themself enjoyed a high life growing up, often looking down at the lower classes because of it. But this arrogance was snapped out of them when they met a lower class woman who displayed truly likable qualities to them that ultimately changed their views. The woman taught them how to hunt and fight, and Kai found they took to it quite well. This earned them praise amongst her people's chiefs and shamans, and so they kept up this newfound lifestyle.

Their training came to a halt when they discovered their friend had been kidnapped by a group of bandits and forced into sexual slavery. This, combined with the nobles apathy towards her loss, boiled her blood. They took up arms and set out into the forests, determined to get her back. She travelled throughout the lands of British Columbia, meeting several Native tribes as well as the British prospectors settling in the area looking for gold and resources. Unfortunately for Kai, their arrival in the city of Victoria was kicked off with them being framed for the murder of a white settler, dooming them to be executed for the crime. However, they were rescued by a mysterious man named Elijah Abergel, who took them off the subject list and provided them passage to safety. Kai tried to get into contact with her hero later on, and eventually caught up with him on a hunting trip. Abergel, having observed their fighting skills and being rather impressed by them, offered to take them under his wing as an apprentice in the Templar Order, an offer which Kai was quick to accept.
