It wasn't my fault! Just leave me alone! I can't think straight… I'm so tired… it was such a long journey. But now Chaytan and I are here and we're ready to help however we can. We will not let such a grand discovery as Dubois’s be censored by the Templars. We won't let these demons take over. I can't let them do this to me. I just want to sleep… I just want to think straight. I just want my friend back!

Well dang that's a depressing note to come back on XD

Hai everybody! ^^ It's me, DV, back again *celebratory noodle dance* And not only am I back, but I'm also back with a new short story! ^^ (obviously XD)

This is kinda the final wrap up of the entire arch The one that ties up the last little loose ends and makes it a contained story. It also kinda hints at what's to come in the future
I might actually end up writing two other short stories to also go along with Extinction but idk yet XD They don't really have any significance to the modern plot, they're just cool ideas I really would like to flesh out. Idk we'll see how things go lol

Anyways, this is Noctis, the 7th of my AC fanfic short stories ^^ The modern day takes place a month after the Assassins killed Lucifer and saved the universe. All is well in existence, except for poor Ava. After the loss of her dear friend, she's begun to have chronic nightmares fueled by grief and guilt. At first they were just hellish visions, but recently they've been having some… side effects. While Ava toils in bed, the Bleeding Effect begins to take over her tired mind and she once again finds herself exploring the memories of her paleontologist ancestor, Evelyn Arlie. The year is 1894 and she's been asked to travel to the Dutch East Indies in order to escort famous scientist Eugène Dubois out of the colonies with his Java Man fossils. The Templars are hot on their tail, and the only way they'll be able to get off the islands is with the help of our old friend Apsarini Rajawali, who herself is struggling with the challenges of motherhood. It's hectic times for everyone, and it's a ticking clock to see if our heroes will be able to vanquish the last of Lucifer’s demons. Give it a read if you're interested, and thanks for sticking with us to the end of this arch guys ^^ It's been a blast and I can't wait to show you what we've got in the works for the future.
