A reference sheet for a character in my fanfic, "To Serve The Light".

Name: Opal Florin

Bio: Opal Florin was born in the Crystal Empire to her single mother, who was a noble mare with a few dark secrets. Her mother was a an Assassin and secretly a master thief. Opal looked up to her mother, who taught her the Assassin's creed and the skills of a thief. The two never got caught, and we're never accused of their crimes. Whenever they succeeded in a mission, they would quickly return to their villa and dawn their noble guises. Nopony ever suspected them.

Unfortunately, when Opal was 17, the Templars managed to expose the identities of the two, one day. Templar agents and Imperial guards came and arrested them. Opal's mother managed to lead her to safety, but she herself was captured in the process. Opal watched in the crowd as they hung her mother the next morning. Her whole world was shattered. Ever since then, Opal lived in hiding. She eventually rejoined with the Assassins, and she worked with them to take out the Templars and avenge her mother. She was hardworking and determined, and she eventually rose through the Assassin ranks and became the mentor.

Her biggest challenge came when the Templar, King Sombra took power by using an Apple of Eden. The Assassins and Templars were evenly matched, but Opal gained the upper hoof by inspiring the citizens to fight against the tyrant. With the help of her new and improved brotherhood, she took out Sombra's Templar allies and broke his hold on the Crystal Empire. Unfortunately, she wasn't able to undo the miserable effect of his dark spells.

Sombra eventually lost his Apple to the Assassins, and went into hiding. After months of searching, Opal found him. He had formed a small army, but it was crumbling, and Opal managed to rush through the battlefield and get to Sombra. She couldn't kill him, however, as the Apple seemed to give him some kind of invisibility. He could still be wounded, though, and Opal decided to give him a punishment that he deserved. She cast a spell with help from the Apple, and banished him into the ice that surrounded the Empire.

After the battle, Opal returned to the Assassin hideout and attempted to d destroy the Apple. She jabbed he hidden blade into its mechanism, but something wasn't right. The Apple glowed with a blinding intensity, and the entire Empire was consumed by its light. She would later find out that they were transported 1000 years into the future, and that the world had forgotten the Empire in that time. She made contact with the modern Assassins, and they began to rebuild. Opal eventually hid the Apple away where nopony would find it.
