This is Sal. There are those who know him as Petr. Sal is navigator. Sal provides own payment. Sal can't go back to prison.

That's pretty much the entire lore of Sal. This is one of my favorite characters, because as I've mentioned, my sense of humor is absolutely broken. His face brings me just so much idiotic delight every time I pull up the drawing. It's based off that gorgest meme. Sal is just kind of this mutant little goblin who's more of a glitch in reality akin to a screen burn than a physical being. This unique quality also makes him an expert ranger with a Dexterity score of 21. Where he came from, I haven't decided yet, but he's older than dirt and he finds random D&D parties, volunteering himself as their navigator. When not moving, he maintains the pose you see here, and when he walks, he walks like that one spider-man dancing to Take On Me meme. He can also teleport according to comedic timing, though, so really it's more of a choice. I don't even have any design notes for this gremlin. He was an image in my head and it was my responsibility as an artist to put him on paper and share him with the internet. You're welcome.

I do, however, have something else. On this extremely high note, I've officially made my way through more or less all my archived material. I'm sure there's more stuff I have lying around that I glanced over or forgot, and I'll share them if I find them. For now, though, I'm finally gonna be slowing down a bit. I've been doing daily uploads just because A: I wanted to emphasize that I am committed to returning from my hiatus, and B: I had all this stuff already drawn and ready to go. It probably wasn't the optimal choice, and it has been exhausting in its own right, but it's the mode my brain got stuck in. At the start of my return, I promised myself I wouldn't have to adhere to any particular schedule, that I'd allow myself the freedom to upload on my own terms. I don't want drawing to become a chore, because creativity is my main outlet and if I don't have that, it's extremely limiting. A lot of the stuff I plan to draw in the near future will also need a lot more research than I have at my immediate disposal, so those blurbs will require extra time. So from here on out, I'll be uploading kinda randomly. When I have something to share, I'll share it, and still keep an eye on all my notifications in the meanwhile. I appreciate all the support I've gotten in these past four months. I feel much more welcomed back than I braced myself to be, and hopefully I'll have better and more quality compositions to make up for it going forward
