Description A friend of mine over on the Assassin's Creed Amino asked me to draw this for them :V They said their OC is meant to be 1800s Japanese but for some reason he wears Ezio's robes?  Idk.  He's new to making OCs and he's a friend so I went ahead and drew it for him even though stuff like this is usually something I wouldn't draw because I require a certain level of originality for my requests

cool looking oc, funny enough at first when i was looking at the character and him coming from Japan, i thought that his story was gonna be almost little bit similar to shao jun and Cipriano Enu during the Renaissance era having him escape from japan and coming to europe.

I don't think my friend has come up with a story for this OC of his yet All he told me is that he was alive at the beginning of the 1800s in Japan and that the character is shipped with the French OC of another one of our friends.

Oh god I'm bad at advice XD
I guess for me, the number one rule is that there's no such thing as too much research.  For my OCs, I always look into the clothing based on location, time period gender, cultural background, ethnicity, social statis, religion, and foreign influences if any.  It's always good to look up as many reference pictures as possible that accurately depict the era, and of course it's always good to research the time period you're setting your character in because story can impact your character's look as well.

Well thing is I'm more so just having trouble with actually finding out a proper way to translate 3d images into 3d-ish drawings. See I'm more of a visual  artist. The characters that I made 3d models of are what I am using to translate into my drawings, but the translation is a bit of a challenge. Any advice there?

Hmm I'm not really sure how to help there I always just draw whatever I see, 3d or 2d, and it just comes natural to me.  I always use the same basic template for all my character reference sheets.  Front, back, face, weapons.
