Description
Name: Tim James Spainhower
Born: September 2, 1970; Mishawaka, Indiana
Allegiance: Assassins
Bio: Tim and his younger sister Jen were born in a small neighborhood in northern Indiana to a Vietnam War veteran and his wife. The two siblings were trouble makers most of the time, especially when their parents divorced in the early 80s, and it led to them getting into several misadventures. In 1985, Tim started learning to play guitar and write music, A passion that he'd carry with him through his whole life. Around that same year, he and Jen discovered the Assassin Brotherhood, who offered them a chance to join and fight for freedom. They gladly accepted and helped them fight their evil enemies: the Templars.
They kept their lives a secret for the most part, but things boiled over in 1988. Tim, finishing up high school, didn't want to go to college but instead wanted to go out and make money playing music. He was forced to confront his father about this, and as you can imagine, his father wasn't too pleased. They had a heated argument, and after one thing led to another, his father revealed the shocking truth to Tim: that he too was once an Assassin back during Vietnam. His father explained that he quit the Brotherhood after it led to him losing so much and experiencing such tragic things, and that he never wanted that life for Tim or Jen. Tim didn't care, however. He still set out on his own path. He continued to work with the Assassins, and even reclaimed a Piece of Eden known as the Pick from Master Templar Cole Morgenster in 1989.
Armed with nothing but his wits and a guitar, Tim set out into the world hoping to achieve his dreams. However, he quickly found that music didn't grant him the life he wanted. Money was hard to come by, and he ended up having to work several low-end jobs to get by since he had no college education to fall back on. Things were rough, and it led to a feeling of regret that never truly went away. He continued to live his life as best he could, however. In 1991, he started hanging out with his friend's ex-girlfriend, Trina, and the two formed a relationship despite his friends’ warning him not to. The two moved to Indianapolis and married in 1994, and their sons Carter and Braden were born in 1999 and 2002 respectively.
Things were always slowly getting more and more tense between Tim and Trina, however, and many times they came close to divorce. Things got bad when Tim discovered that Trina was a Templar in 2002, though they tried to make it work for the sake of the kids. It ultimately couldn't work, however, and they divorced in 2012. Tim moved out and formed a much more loving relationship with his friend Misty, whom he married in 2013. Those same years, the two were locked in a seemingly endless custody battle against Trina, who's abusive nature sent their sons into crippling depression. The boys were finally taken out of her custody by the police in October 2013 and put into safe, loving hands.
Things got complicated when Carter and his cousin Chelsea were ambushed by Templars in December. Chelsea fought them off and took Carter to the local Assassin hideout, where she explained the secret war that they were a part of. After a rough night, Carter agreed to join and help free Indianapolis from the Templars’ tyranny. By 2015, Carter was well on the way to both conquering the Templars and his depression. He killed Grand Master Natasha Wolfgang in January, freeing the city and himself from a dark cloud. Tim was as proud of his son as ever, and continued to support him and help him clean up the remaining scraps of Templar influence throughout Indiana.

Very nice. I like the little touches of 80s fashion.

No worries. The uneven socks are also a neat touch, plus there's so much personality in this guy's design. Also, I do like that his backstory isn't just a rehash of Desmond's. In fact, I actually like this backstory a lot more since it touches on how being an unemployed drifter bit him in the ass and his reason for leaving the family is understandable.

Begs the question, though. If there were so many assassins active prior to the present day, what's the use of an Animus? I can only imagine a future instalment where you're accessing the memories of a 1980s Yakuza gang-member from the comfort of your own home via a wireless Animus.
