Description
A custom CSS for the emoticon legend
You can get the style from userstyles.org (preferred, allows updates) or you can hit the download link on the left and paste the contents of the file into Stylish.
Stylish is required to install this style.
Edit: Updated the style slighly in order to get a bit more v7-ish look

Edit: They finally updated the emoticon legend styles, so this userstyle has come somewhat obsolete. It still works, but I won't be updating it anymore as the default styles now look quite nice

It's not a simple "color change". ~Avhaz spent some time to modify the appearance of the emoticon legend via CSS, which usually takes quite a while to get the right classes, adjust the code etc.
Additionally he offers it for other people to use for free, so imo it does deserve some more attention and is useful for everyone that wants to perfect dA v7 a bit more.

Originally I did this just to please my own eys, because I thought the emoticon legend was quite ugly and didn't fit the new layout at all.
I just posted it for like minded deviants and didn't expect it to get a DD or anything

I believe a visual demonstration is supposed to be made and put into the Suggestions category. Not sure if that's an entirely, effective, process though.

That isn't possible via CSS AFAIK. Someone would need to write a greasemonkey script to do so.

It only changes the appearance of the emoticon legend, other than that it stays the same. It's more or less useless but makes it look a bit nicer
The before image show's how it looks by default and the after how it looks with the style applied.
To use it you have to install the Stylish extension to your Firefox, link in the description
