Pangolin Ponies

This is my (finally) finished Closed Species.

Traits

Common:
- Plates on the Jaw Bone
- Plates on the Flank
- Plates on top of the Tail
- Claws (Used for digging. Too dull to harm)

Uncommon:
- Underbelly
- Plates on the back of the Ear
- Plates on the back of both Front and Back legs
- Smaller Plates on the Cheeks, Neck, Back Hoof

Rare:
- Horns (Comes in many shapes and sizes)
- Plates on the front of the Front Leg
- Small Spikes on the edge/tip of the tail

The Plates and Spikes can be any colour, and shape.

- Do not claim this species as your own.

Background Information

Lifespan:
Is about 20-30 years.
They don't live very long, alpha Pangolin Ponies tend to live for 35-40 years since they are born with a stronger body or immune system.
They can get illnesses, and Pangolin Ponies are not necessarily trained in making medicine or knowing which plant is medical.
They also have a 13-20% chance to die at birth, and a 10-15% chance to die from their armor plates either growing a different way than the rest or ingrown.

Breeding:
This takes place in the spring and summer.
Pangolin Ponies can breed with other Pangolin Ponies, normal ponies, Pegasi, and Unicorns. But they cannot develop wings or unicorn horns. They do not have those kinds of chromosomes in their DNA.
Pangolin Ponies can't breed with Gryphons, Dragons, Plant Ponies, Liquid Tail Ponies, or any other rare species. They wouldn't get along with those species in the first place.
Pangolin Ponies have birth defects as well. Examples are; there is a 2-5% chance of them having two pupils in one eye (Pupula Duplex) but it doesn't increase their sight.
There's a 10% chance that they can have split armor plates to where it makes them more vulnerable and an easy target for predators.
There's a 7% chance that they will be born without the capability of producing any armor plates at all.
There's a 14% chance of having no limbs or ears.
There's a 1% of them producing feathers near the armor plates (this happens if they breed with a Pegasus)

Predators:
Pangolin Ponies aren't always so safe, they have Dragons and Timber Wolves that target these creatures.
Some birds even eat at a Pangolin Pony's dead body if it's left there.

Packs/Groups:
Pangolin Ponies live in groups of about 4-5, they are family and are capable of adopting stray Pangolin Ponies.
They will meet with other groups, where they breed.
There is a leader of these groups, most likely a male who is typically larger than the others.
