Description
Its funny to be out there wherever and all of the sudden you notice some awkward looking old man looking at you as you pull out your camera, proceed to attach a long zoom lens to the good old dslr, spend 2 minutes finding a good moment to take while you are holding your camera to your face and you two are just sitting there staring at each other then just take the photos and walk away.I actually got a number of strange face shots from this guy, everything from laughing to yawning, but when it comes down to it the simple frown wins for the post because its so classic. Grumpy old men indeed.
Canon 20D, Canon 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens, 1/80 sec, f/8, ISO 400

hm...i like old people ....to be precise...i apreciate old people, and i feel sorry for most of them...they've been working all their lifes, making the countries what they are today, and yet...most of them are poor...and lonely....and only few people care about them

Amazing - it's a perfect capture. The light is great, composition is great, idea was great - and let's face it - we all love old men.

you captured his expression in a perfect moment.
maybe a bit more shadows and a work on the light on his face would have made it perfect... but Im being picky...
gorgeous shot man!!

Terrific textures and tones. I am quickly becoming jealous of your ability to capture people's faces and expressions...and even their personalities, it may be!

Good old Hippo. You made it againg and explained it, too. ItΒ΄s so simple by encourage you have and tallent in your eyes.
Perhaps when youΒ΄ll be old enough some young "hippo" walk arond with his/hers invent (camera perhaps) and make a shot on you. Well, meanwhile let you your camera make his enormous job.

Hehe! This makes me giggle! Such a cool story too, I want to sit by some weird old dude and have him sit there and stare at me while I take photographs of him.

Great model! Nice range of tones. The only thing I can think of to critique is the cropping and the bullseye framing. I would have cropped less of the hat off and tried not to center the subject.

ah yes, I tried to not crop it too hard but I had a small problem because I took this in a very crowded place and the shots I didnt crop had a lot of bad looking half heads in it of all the people gambling around him
