Near from Death Note. I LOVE HIS HAIR. (or at least how I draw him. it looks grayer and more crazy here than in the anime... oh well, i sill love him.)Yes, he is one of my favorite characters from Death Note. I Don't know why people don't like him.
He looks tan for someone that doesn't go outside...
and the teal in the backround was because of how the 9th volume of Death Note looks like.

Ya, it is. Recently I was reading alot of manga and realized how undetailed my style of drawing hair was so now I am trying to make it more detailed, not to mention how much fun I had with drawing it like this (and how londg it took -_-'). The eyes look different because that was how they were originally drawn and the rest was just me trying out new ways of shading and out lineing XD. Do you like it better like this? I am probably going to draw like this from now on (exept for the eyes, I like having my own style for them and this fanart was just an exeption).

It just creeps me out for some reason, but it's your choice. After all, it's you who's doing the drawings.
Oh BTW, I couldn't find the rp. I'm probably going to have to go through the thousands of pages in my history, so gimme another minute.

American? where did you get that from? O_o american creeps you out or the actual picture? I am only going to keep this hair stle for curly hair and for straight hair would be different and as I have said, I am not going to keep the eyes like this.
If it is too much for you you don't have to look throught that many pages of history just for that, but I do want to see that one Fanfiction that you told me about.

Maybe I can just tell you about it next time we make an ecounter. By American, I mean that the usual American art style has nothing more than pupils and the fact that they make noses more realistic and you can actually see detail in their lips. It just makes me uneasy, dunno why.

It's okay if I encounter Elricest, I haven't decided wether it is an okay paring or an annoying one yet so it's fine. The lips are suposed to be more like that in shading and in Soul Eater they use lines to indicate lips so that is where i got that from. The nose was just my own idea just because I always found it strange how there are barely any noses in the anime style, so I added on in. The eyes where based off of how Near's eyes looked like in the manga (that was my reference for this) and if I was coping how they looked like in the anime there would be a lining of grey around the pupil. I will not be keeping the eye style for this but it was fun to draw anyways.
Well, I have been going for a style that was a cross between anime/cartoon/realistic in the first place so thanks I guess.

hehheh... thanks! For the most part this was shading practice but I think that I went alittle overboard with the hair, it originally is supposed to be white but here it looks gray. Oh well, I like it better this was anyway XDDDDDD

I couldnn't agree more. Even though I like L and was sad when he died I am not going to take it out on other characters that had nothing to do with his death, if anyone should be hated it should be Light for killing him (not exactly but he was the one that planed everything out to have Rem kill him). To me Near is an adorable little cocky genius that in many ways I love more than L.
