idk how to explain stuff but if you have a specific question how i do something you can ask and i'll tryoh and i just noticed the color of the outlines is different in that one picture sorry haha

I always want to try shading my art, but it ends up looking blehk
so this is helpful, i might try shading sometime c:

i make a layer above it, put it on clipping group and fill the layer with the bucket tool. that way i can choose colors simpler by putting the mode on "shade" or "multiply".
but if you just want it black or something you can just select "preserve opacity" and color it over with the pen or something.
if you use sai c:
