Just a couple of attempts with digital art again. This time doing what TeamSuperSonic Β has taught me about using single layer and variants and variants of colours to make it look as... well, pretty as it is?~ Is that how the lesson went? //I'msosorrykilled
Blegh, have some colours then, guys. XD My apologies if these look crap due to the amount of time I'd spent on it. Used my pencil sketches for these.
Anyways, the characters featured here are: Starla StRlite , Mia DJ-StaaR , and Seiko Knievs
I need to draw my friends' characters more. And non-Sonic stuff cause WYNAUT!! 8D

Honestly, the soft colouring you did in single layer really shows out the magic that each of the characters possess! :'D And as well as from the light tinted background to the Β contrasting darker colours and the sharp pencil linearting~

In terms of the colouring process and stoof, then yis? :'D I can assume that you're going to alternate the use with multilayers as well, so ah wells. xD Yey for colouring!~

Here's a hint: Duncan and Kim of the Yogscast read and TALK about it daily~ ;D
I'll be using that for the sharp shading rather than very soft and free like these. - v- I mean, free hand shading. Who wouldn't like the freedom to just SPAM SHADES OF COLOURS EVERYWHERE without having to adjust/create layers until you have like, 50 of them sitting for one picture? ;D

Cell-shading, eh? True that and better yet, if soft-shading is done at a single layer then blending stuff will be easier that way.
