Description Happy Chinese New Year to all, folks!~
This is a part of my art trade with StRlite to commemorate this years Chinese New Year, 2k15!~ The year of the Goat!
It's been a long while since I last used my colour pencils. - u- I hardly do, only to discover that I'd become worse with them after using them to colour this.
I don't even know if their attires can be passed off as Chinese New Year-esque, given how I'd flip tables if I were to work on minute intricate details. :I
I should've done this on a larger scale. D"X I'm so sorry!!

On the bright side, it was fantastically fun to have drawn Aelia and Ciel!~ It's only a few more days left before Chinese New Year ends, so yeah~ It still counts!
And those green beads didn't come out as green, for some reason. >.>

Ciel (Skvader) and Aelia (Norwegian Forest Cat) Β© StRlite , so only she can use this picture without my permission.
Stealing is ill-advised. :u

…Can I just say that the first moment after you showed it to me, I was a bit speechless by the designs and the colour there? |'D
I like how the oriented styles in this piece just jump right at you instantly, especially their outfits and… that pretty background with the scrolls which adds a bit like a centerpiece to it. *v* And I don't think it's all that necessary to put in the tiny details on their attires, seeing there are others with simple designs and that the colours match in the theme. x'D

I know you did mentioned you were doing either of those two characters, but how you put them in a CYN theme is what really blew me away. ;u; Thank you very much Axe, and gong xi fa cai to you too!~

It's been established that red and yellow (gold) are the colours of Chinese New Year for a very very long time. X'D Along with any intricate details that one can possibly fit onto those outfits. I'm glad to hear that you find the piece fitting for the celebration, cause I was so goodness durned worried that the overall design didn't fit the Chinese New Year mood! X'D

One character didn't feel enough to me when doing a Chinese New Year themed picture, so I did them both for the hell of it. c: Feels nice to be able to draw Aelia~
You are most definitely welcome, my friend!~ Gong xi fa cai to you as well!

Pffffft~ x'D C'mon, even if you think that it may not seem like it fits in the CNY theme, there's also the Chinese characters within the scrolls that's been provided just in case. c; Then again, it's understandable since you said you drew the picture at a small scale. And that for me, I outta use coloured pencils instead in case I actually messed up mine as well. D; And it took about half of my page!

Welp, it's funny that you drew her first despite I haven't made any signs regarding I'm having a new character. x'D Eh, I'll let the possible stalkers/detectives figure it out themselves. C|

Fiiiiiiiiiine. X'D
I really ought to draw on a larger scale. >.> It's hard to get the details right when one is using a pencil, especially a mechanical one. But come on now, at least the markers look really smooth and well done~ X'D I might have to pull out my own markers in the future. At least you don't have to worry about trying to work on the tiny tiny details by working on something as large as half-a-page~

Haha~ You're busy with real life, schoolwork, commissions and probably your personal projects as well, so it's understandable. c:
They won't even have any clues at all. X'D If they know where to look at. c;

May get the fine details of a large sized picture, yes, but it's not always easy to get it to how you would actually want to look like, such as that 'circle' I somehow did. x'D But yeah, that applies in the opposite direction for small images as well~ Hopefully you'll start working on large images of characters using markers within the meantime. :'D All it needs is a spark to it, is all~

Haha, yep~ x'D Ah wells, the process of doing my artwork will be proceeding quicker depending on how everything goes. I'll get the chance at some point. c:

That's one of the issues that I encounter as well whenever drawing something huge on paper. :'c But alright, with markers and on larger scale, got it. X'D

Gotta take every opportunity to improve in the midst of work. XD

//takes note of the picture of Catherine

Well.... For your attempt there, I don't think you did too bad on that one, in all honesty. x'D I mean, even if you did spot a mistake or two within Catherine's picture, it's still a start, right? :'D

I'll admit that most of my previous attempts with larger scale drawings involve 2B pencils. X'D Too smudgy for anything. And since I have a number of scrap paper that I can use... I can do some drawings larger than what I normally draw now~ o .o
Thanks, friend. X"D One step at a time, after all.

Pffffft~ x'D Myeh, the change of using your tools and such can lead you to somewhere, no? I mean, ones with HB lead are what I use (most because they're all mechanical pencils which I like to use to draw them for obvious reasons) and yet I have other types that I forgot to use despite I put so much pressure on it. >.> Ah wells, you've found a good alternative instead of quickly using up pages of your sketchbook for large-scaled pictures, so… :'D

And once again, you're welcome. x'D
