Due to how she was raised, Autumn never had much experience with people outside of her family. Having yet to earn her competent communicator ribbon, she talks in circles and fumbles over her words. It makes her seem shy, but she's rather sociable and enjoys interacting with others. Awkward as she is with expressing herself verbally, she's practically an open book. She doesn't make much effort to hide how she feels about things, believing there's not much of a point in putting in the effort. However, she tries not to openly express anything negative without regard for those around her in order to avoid confrontation and unnecessary stress. If something bad does go down, she's not the type to hold a grudge - often passing it off as being bad for her health to fret over such things.

In a professional environment, Autumn surprisingly shines. Years of watching her parents work and even facing a or two customer a few times herself have rubbed off on her. It's one of the few times she can manage to put up a front of being a calm, collected, mature individual. A diligent worker, she pays careful attention to each and every detail, refusing to call a job done until it has reached utter perfection. She puts her all into her work and does it well, and takes pride in at least that much. And yet, she doesn't claim to have much passion for the work. It's simply something she's good at, something she does well. This seems to be true with many aspects in her life. Nothing has yet to light a fire in her heart. Without any outside motivation or direction, she ends up aimlessly going through the motions of each day.

Autumn grew up with her mother, step father and step siblings on the road, as a family of traveling merchants. However, due to her poor health, she never got to experience much of the world around her. Playtime with children her age and adventures in all the different towns she visited were a rare treat. Her parents, her siblings, even her own body told her that she was frail, so she grew to accept that. She did what she could to be helpful to her family, taking care of menial chores like cleaning and cooking, even learning to sew so she could repair garments and other items.

When her brother turned of age, he chose to settle down to pursue a career of her own, and she went with him. They lived together for a while, during which she became an apprentice at the local tailor shop to help make money. After a few years, her brother got married and moved out with his wife. Without anyone else to motivate her to do things around the house and in general, she became stagnant. She'd just go through the motions of each day, living without really living. Until one day a cute little flyer appeared in her mailbox. At first she dismissed it as a scam. But the more she thought about it, the more it seemed like a good chance. At least for a season. So, with a bit of hesitation and uncertainty, she packed and headed for the station. To her new life through the Eclair Express.
