Every day i swear i find something on the front page that it STOLEN or a stupid motivational poster!but of course, they are only spreading the love and trying to make people laugh so its totally ok if they get 1000s of views and 100s of favorites.
YOU argreed to NOT post stolen work when you signed up. so unless you picked up some sort of drawing utensil and drew it yourself, DONT POST IT D:<

Even better: If you found it anywhere, then it is not art. Artists don't find art, they make it.

I think only a casual thief who stole a screenshot of a web page by clicking "print screen ", the more advanced technology now simply add some plug ins just in the browser in use it will be very easy to take a screenshot of a full page, even the image quality stolen will have a better quality

I hate it too. I logged in one day and saw a fanart of Sonic the Hedgehog under newest deviations and I knew it was done by a friend of mine and I told them that I would report it if they didn't remove it. And they were like
"Oh, your mistaken. I did make it. I work very hard on it."
I was very angry about that. Not because he/she was claiming a friends work as their own, but because they flat out lied to me. You could even see half the water mark that was still there on the picture. It was removed within 2 minutes after I clicked the "Report deviation"

I hate it whenever you confront someone who's stolen artwork, tell them that the artwork belongs to ~suchandsuchdeviant and they don't have permission to use it. Then they go "Ooohhh, I just found it on Google. I didn't think it belonged to anybody." Yes, because anything you find on Google is automatically up for grabs. 9_9

that's exactly why when you click on an image it says "image may be subject to copyright" people are stupid :/

Well...arguably what was found on google or elsewhere is art, just not your art. Make your own art kids.

Thank you! This is exactly what I've been trying to tell all those effing trolls 'till now, yet they keep blocking me (scaredy cats all of 'em), I wish they'll get the message soon..
Or at least that the dA-staff will take care of it, the art policy should become more strict, figuring now that we've seen that stupid Cat Pikachu, the marshmallows, the fingers and the Tic Tacs quite several times they should try and do something about them trolls -.-

dA just doesnt seem to care that much anymore. sadly, unless they get off their asses and quit making excuses why some of this stuff stays up, this site is heading straight for the next photobucket

Yeah, sad but true. I never bothered getting to know their system down to the least detail, but somehow one should be able to send them a complain of some sort, if that's not even possible DeviantART is way more non-userfriendly and primitive than I thought.

Seems like some people don't understand that, just from stamp, you're talking about the ACTION that people DO to post, is not art, not the picture itself.
Anyways, fully agree with the stamp and everything you say on it.

You can even set Google to search only on specific websites, just type what you want to search followed by "site:" and put the URL after "www." (ex: for deviantART, type "[whatever you want to search] site:deviantart.com").
