Wow, this is so cool - apart from the composition of color and shape - You can really study the arrangement of pigmentation on wings and every single hair...

Haha, you describe as some kind of shaolin monk that can sit stil for a week without droping a fart
I consider myself to be pretty unpatient. I move around a lot when I take pics. I have come to the concliution that either I camp by one flower for 2 hours and maybe get a pic, or I move around to all flowers and definitely get a pic
But then there are the tricks, most day active but get dormant on the evening with no sun and colder temperature. Thats a good time to go searching for them. The night is even better.

Yeah, I have a flash for that, with some plastic diffusors on so the light doesn't get too sharp
