I love spiders because they eat flies, and I don't like flies. :-P

If i look at this Abstract long enough, i'll see all kind of images and figures other than the obvious, flora and fauna, leaves plants insects, animals. everything that is fragileΒ and unstable is within this abstract. lovely work here Wayne. would've never have guessed this was watercolour.

Thank you. I know what you mean. There's a heart, a menorah, a volcano, etc. Not intentional, just emerged from the drawing process. I was focusing more on creating a rhythm with repetative lines and not the images, althought there are some concrete figures.
I'll tell you the secret to why it doesn't look like a watercolor. I did the lines in heavy pencil, filled in the color, and then came back with black watercolor to cover the pencil.Β

ah, now i understand why it hasn't got that watercolour look. lovely artwork though.

Unstable earth is one of our primordial fears, similar to the fear of drowning, electrocution, heighths and falling. I have been in many earthquakes, and there is an active volcano not far from here. Unstable earth has always been a concern of mine and still is.
