EDIT:
Some fellow people noticed that there were things on this picture which needed to be fixed or improved so then there are some edits:
- Changes on the twin moons! Later I realized that the twin moons on my previous images seemed to be a bit too narrow almost being collided so then a complete change on the twin moons.
- the castle: for some reasons I forgot that Baron has a moat around the castle. So I added some water (still a bit shiny water, huh?)
- the night sky: The sky got a complete change with more magical colors for a better atmosphere!
- the characters: I didn't notice that before but later I gave some darker shadings onto the characters which seemed to be a bit too light. So then a pinch of darker colors and some lights for better contrasts in my view.
I thank for all the fellow people from ProjectComment for helping me to fix my art!
It might be still a bit too light for a nighttime scene like this but I just like those kind of night scenes!

Finished drawing during the livestream!
On my last stream I was working on the next FF IV themed picture. You know, one of my fav couples Cecil and Rosa.
Based on this quick sketch I made which was supposed to be an example sketch for a commission I wanted to try it out by myself. The entire result is what I expected.
Oh Cecil, even if you're the only Lunarian knight I know. I still don't understand how to draw your armor properly. Every reference picture I found are looking differently.
Ah yes, and shadings/higlights can be such challenging to avoid making it too dark on a nighttime picture.

Of course FF 7 might be the most favourite game from most fans though (and indeed it's an incredibly good FF-game) but I like FF 9 most, next to FF 4

I loved all of them! I hadn't played the original versions of 1-6, but I had anthologies for PS1 and of course everything after! <3
I really liked FF9 especially the "throwback" to the cartoony style.

Me neither. If I want to play the old school FF games such like I to VI then I play the graphic remakes they're offering here on systems like steam.
Oh yes. I heard that the developers wanted to go "back to the roots" after the modern settings on FF 7 and 8. And they succeed fully with 9

I do wish they would give some of those older games a console make over. FF6's magitech in PS4 or Xbox graphics would be pretty amazing.
But in the end, the story was what made me a fan lol

First of all, this is a beatiful Piece, also theyre so cute together >w<
You did great illustrating the background, the sky and the tree, but especially the castle
The little lights flying around really give this pic a romantic feeling, and the looks on their faces just look so in love
But something seems off to me, the colours kinda clash at some points, maybe use a filter or mask effect, its actually no biggie
The characters on the other hand look far to much lightened to me, especially because the setting is night, they sort of pop out of the picture

No problem. I didn't use a filter nor any effect. All what I used is one soft brush and a color I played around with the color modes

I really like the meaning of this picture: two people together under the stars. You've made an excellent choice with the colors, they really bring out the emotion in the scene.
What also catches my eye though is how the faces of the two people under the tree are illuminated for some reason: they seem a bit brighter than their surroundings. I'm no GIMP expert, but perhaps selecting their faces then lowering the contrast could do something.
Also, the two moons (or a planet and it's moon) in the sky seem to be incredibly close to each other. Try to add some more shadow to the larger moon to make the two moons seem more far away, because right now they seem to be on a collision course with each other.
Don't get me wrong though, the artwork is incredible!

I was aware to focus on the characters while drawing the picture. But still, I'm a bit afraid of making too dark if I like to shade the image on nighttime scenes. So that's why it looks a bit too contrasty
Anyway, maybe some decent shadings and less lights I need to try it out.

I really like the colors you used in the background, especially the shades of green you used. I also really like how you rendered the leaves on the weeping willow, although I think the leaves should have been pointing more straight down, or you could have made them look like they were blowing in the breeze. I think the castle is really well rendered, as well as the sky and all the constellations and all the little light spots in the picture.
You could have just had this background and it would have been a complete picture.
However, I think the figures look a little out of place. They're facing away from the light source of the moon, so I think they should have been shaded more darkly. I also think the style of the characters doesn't quite match the style of the background.

About the characters: it's my way to draw characters in this way. It might be just for some months but I'm still in search of a style I'm fond of.
Ah okay. I thought it would have something with the shadings. I'm still cautious not to make it too dark - even for a nighttime themed picture. But I'll work on make decent darker shadings.

You're right. And I always listen the music at first, lyrics are "optional". In fact there are a lot of songs where I like music but not voices, and I look for karaoke version of them.

Some people think they can say that a music is good when they just listen to it for some seconds... maybe. I need to listen to it one time at least to think if the song is good or not.

Often I've an overall opinion after some seconds. Sometimes the song surprises me and is better when I listen to it completely. But it's rare, if I don't like the beginning, the next has few changes to change my opinion.
