Alas! The WAY overdue collection is complete, though I couldn't manage to get some of them on time, mostly the minor characters.
Anyways, in case you haven't known, China hosts the World Expo this year in Shanghai, where countries around the world showcase their cultures and innovations. Some presented amazing pavilion designs and brought their most prized artifacts to the Expo.
Unfortunately, today will be the last day of the Expo. But as a way to remember its colossal impact, here's a tribute to the this exhibition that made us open our eyes to the world around us.

Here's a chibi collection with their pavilions. Some of them are fabulous and deserve an honorable mention.
I've put almost every character with a pavilion on here. So you may wonder why I didn't put Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, or Liech. Due to time and technical problems I couldn't finish Belgium, Thailand, Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand (oddly enough I didn't draw Monaco, who also has a pavi-design). If they ever go on sale as stickers/bookmarks/etc. the collection will be complete with the currently incompleted characters.

Time taken: 4 months (including technical issues)

oh it was wonderful...too many people (i'm slightly claustrophobic)but my favs are russia, the good old home turf canada, germany, uk's pincusion, swiss ride, oh too many to name.

I went to Russia, Canada,and UKs too. UK I like better because of its simple concept.
I call it the Iggycube because it's Iggy and looks like a cube XD
Germany's lineup was crazy, 6 hours. And so is the Swiss.

hmmm 2 to 3 hours for germany and swiss for me...i went during low peak hours of REALLY early morning...or late at night. learned that from my previous expo trip in 2008 in spain

These are so adorable! I think Norway and America have good designs. My friend would want the Norway one as a sticker to put in her locker! It's too bad you couldn't finish the other ones though.

Norway is, well... not quite I imagined. The pavilion didn't look like Norway, but some Arab nation. XD But it looked cool.
America, eh? I'm glad you're one of the few who actually like the design. I hear a lot of people loathe it because it looked like some cheap car company building. At least it fits America's car culture though. XD

lol Greece XD. Actually I have to say in terms of the pavilions Turkey > Greece. Good times good times :3. I'm SO glad I went.

I put him in anyways just for laughs. His pavilion is so cheap because he went bankrupt XD. Poor Greece he gets laughed at by Turkey who is right beside him. XD
There are other cheap ones that I didn't put on there. Gosh, Lithuania, the worst of them.

Really? I thought Litchuania's was better made than Estonia's. I mean Estonia's was more colorful but it was that voting thing and some tv screens in the way back. It think Lithuania did a better job, personally, at least in terms of content.
omg Belarus!!! It was amusing but I went in and thought "....O.o" When I went in there was this Belorussian pop music or whatever in the background and the melody was "Jingle Bells."

I went in Liet's just so I could get the stamp with Poland. XD But I'm kinda surprised that it has a million visitors within the first month or two. It's probably because kids love basketball.
Yeah, the background for Belarus' looks purdy, and it does indeed look like a winter town.
I bet if anyone shouts her name, or Lithuania or Latvia, people will know you're into Hetalia XD.
And then there's Ukraine, who somehow feels out of place between Iceland and Norway.

Estonia's pavilion had a large screen, and this thing where you can vote for what to focus on in improving the city or something like that, and when you go up the stairs to the back there were come tv screens with images of the country.
Yeah I played with the passport stamps too. I put the Baltics on the same page, with Russia on the page to the left (above Canada). England was on one page, and on the bottom was Germany, and the Venice Case sticking to it (Italy didn't have one). X3

I only remember on the websites there are giant piggy banks in the pavilion.
Yea, and for those w/o stamps we wrote the country's names. The funniest thing we put Norway's name right on top of where it says Denmark even though he has his own page. XD But it wasn't intentional though, which makes it funny in the end.
Yea, I stamped the Venice on of Italy's stamp but it would've been better if he has his own stamp too. I wonder if it looks like pasta~

It's actually supposed to be pick up sticks, a game both China and Italy shared. It's also where the pavilion design came to be.

Well I only got to go for one day and only went to the African pavilions, the UK pavilion, and the Luxembourg pavilion...But I thought the France pavilion was really pretty over the water and the Korea pavilion was really creative. ^__^ What about you?

I love the UK one too. The concept is very deep and UK decides to make it different, based on the theme of the expo itself instead of bringing his culture like most other pavilions.
The Denmark one, like the UK, is another of my favourites for the similar reason, except he also brought the mermaid. I didn't go to that one though since it was closed for pavilion day.
As for content inside my favourite would be Italy. They brought everything about them, including a wall of you know it, PASTA!
The Korean one's popular too, but most people go for the food. Since where I live Korean food is everywhere.

Aww, I really wanted to go inside the Italy pavilion :< And the Japan pavilion too, but I saw the line and I was like nooooo XD
Also, do you know if they are still keeping some other country pavilions or demolishing them all? Because I really want to go back next year and look at them

I took a LOT of UK pavilion (or the 'Iggycube') pictures too, especially if the view is best at the Netherlands pavilion. The best part is taking pictures of me 'raeping' that cube. XD
Really? Italy's lineup didn't take me an hour, or probably because I went later in the day. The only pavilion where it took me more than an hour was I believe, HK's. Only because it's not as big.
Japan's lineup is INSANE. 6 hours, and so is Germany's. But the worst is Saudi Arabia when there are even cops that handle with the lineup.
Thankfully, I've been to most pavilions of my favourite characters and main characters.
Nope. They're demolishing most of them, though some of them will be moved elsewhere. But anything China related stays. Yeah, I really wish I could resee it and go to the ones I've missed.
