I thought I had a bit of in universe yarn to spin to help explain things, but unfortunately I don't. So here's my stream of thought.

I'm not sure where, or even if, I'm taking this idea anywhere. Like with Monica/Topaz, and Silhouette's bad girl persona(s), I took base Lauren and made some potentially dark changes to her. Her being born in San Francisco, being abandoned by her mother, being adopted by well off parents at six months old, and moving to Platinum Hills when she reaches school age still happens. She still gets her powers at 13-15, but not telekinesis (still playing with the idea of her having limited telepathic skills, but that's neither here nor there). She learns that she has limited shape shifting abilities in that she can change the length and color of her hair, and she can change the color of her eyes with concentration. Might be able to change how her voice sounds as well, haven't done the necessary spitballing to say yay or nay. Basically, she's a low powered Mystique without the skin color change.

Her parents still pass when she's an older teenager, not by a heart attack and failed car jacking, but it gets Huntress-level dark. To spare the dark details, her mind snaps with not only the constant threats of violence against her but seeing her parents pass right in front of her. Somehow she gets away, but doesn't come back "home" until she's in her 20s. In the process of being away from home, she learns that she's faster, stronger, and more athletic than a normal woman but it's tied to her emotional state (possibly) and, she developed an alternate personality after the night her parents died. Believing in root and stem revenge, "Lauren" sets out on a path to find the guys who killed her parents and threatened bodily harm against her, and if Sureshot, Nightingale, Starlight, and Impulse wants to stop her...to bad for them.

On the left is "Lauren" in a basic top and mini skirt outfit, I wanted something quick and easy that required no extra thought processes. On the right is "anti-Silhouette". I did not want to do another character in a red costume, especially so soon after Lotus, Widow, and Wasp. So, I went back to an idea brad328 had with his girl, and the reverse-retro costume...but for the Red Wings, that meant white and grey. Ugh. That color scheme changed when I got to her weapons and didn't use a sword or a knife (doesn't mean "Lauren" won't know how use them though lol), but ended up using a pair of sickles. With the sickles being stored behind her, and likely have blood on them, a white suit wasn't going to work. I don't intend on her having bare hands, but I got tired trying to resize and mask the hand pieces to make it seem like she's wearing fingerless gloves. I'm not sure if the thigh belt will stay, but I'll see what happens when I get a chance to think things though and do my dice rolls.
