Silent child,standing alone in the darkness,
only a shadow to the world,
only one piece of life.
Silent child,
dreaming,
waking,
walking,
sleeping.
No one knows,
No one cares,
No one wishes to know or care.
Silent child,
wishing to hear,
wishing to be heard,
wishing to be known.

Thank you. We're singing a song in choir about someone deaf speaking their thoughts, so that kind of gave me the idea to write this poem.
