Actually, the two things working in my favor here were a zoom lens and patience. I stood out there for about and hour or so before it got used to me being there and was comfortable enough to come out of hiding. That's why I don't have very many bird shots in my gallery. lol

I have a crappy zoom so i guess it doesnt work as well, not quite sure if im willing to spend an hour outside just for a bird...ill try to find a really cute one

I bought a zoom lens just to try and get some wildlife shots. I don't use it much anymore. Sitting in the woods is relaxing...and very, very boring.

Great capture of nature at work...
The frame feels a little empty on the left... framing the bird a little more off centre would help to fill that in.
Great colours as well... the yellow really stands out against all that green!
